Which property value should you use?

Use the taxable value shown on your property tax statement. Do not use the property’s sale price or market value.

Once you find the taxable value, multiply it by 0.00118 to estimate the annual cost under the proposal.

For example:

$50,000 × 0.00118 = $59 per year

The amount would be based on the property’s taxable value. At the proposed rate of 1.18 mills:

• $50,000 taxable value would equal $59 per year, or about $4.92 per month.
• $75,000 taxable value would equal $88.50 per year, or about $7.38 per month.
• $100,000 taxable value would equal $118 per year, or about $9.83 per month.
