Our story today in fourth grade turned out to be a play. We just couldn't read it, so we had four brave students who took a role and created a magical play with props. We used our imagination and turned the broom into a cane! We read about how a blind person can still participate and be a team player with their four other senses!
3rd graders experienced more community building today. We celebrated a birthday with giggles and ice cream. We also shared math strategies, with students bravely "taking over the pen". This builds trust, confidence, and an understanding that it is okay to make mistakes.
Today, Mrs. Avram's kindergarten mathematicians worked on finding matches during a fun, hands-on math lesson! And what better way to practice than with a good ol’ game of Memory Match with different sock cards! 🤗🧦
Our little learners were busy matching, remembering, thinking, and having fun—all while building important math skills! We sure love learning through play!

Recap of the week in High School Sports in Au Gres: On Tuesday the JV Volleyball team played @ Alcona against Oscoda and Alcona .Competed Hard and got better .
Varsity Volleyball Also played @ Alcona and walked away victorious vs both Alcona & Oscoda . Middle School Volleyball played @ WP on Wednesday and did a great job . 6/7 grade won all 3 sets and 8 grade won 1 out of 3 . Finally, our Football team played a great game vs WP JV Football Team and came up short 22-0 . Very proud of all the teams and got great reviews on sportsmanship from opponents & officials . # WolverinesLead.

3rd graders started reading centers this week! Different modalities help our students maintain focus and find joy in their learning. Students read online, in paperback books, and with reading groups. They apply what we do whole group to their own independent reading.
3rd graders are reviewing place value with games this week. We are learning to problem solve and talk positively with our partners.
