Mrs. Hasty’s 1st grade class is hard at work on persuasive writing… and they might be getting a little too good at it! 🙂 Look at all these compelling opinions—keep changing the world, little Wolverines!!!

A worldwide competition with a prize of $1000 for our 7th grade science class, no need to tell us twice! Students are designing, building, and testing a ball run using only 30 sheets of paper and a single roll of tape. The ball must have the longest travel time and the fewest sheets of paper used. Can it be done? Keep checking back for updates.

Environmental science students are designing and engineering scale model bridges for efficiency in terms of quantity of materials used and ability to support the greatest hanging mass. They are working within a budget where each item "purchased" must be accounted for in a checkbook register.

🐹Big news in Mrs. Avram's kindergarten class! Thanks to a Pets in the Classroom grant, our kindergarten students now have a classroom hamster. This special grant allowed us to welcome Mr. Fred Fluffy Face to our class, giving students a hands-on way to learn about responsibility, care, routines, and meeting the needs of a living thing. From gentle handling to daily care, our kinders are learning kindness, empathy, and teamwork every day. Our new furry friend loves veggies from the kitchen, being read to, and playing, which makes him a perfect fit for our sweet classroom. We can’t wait to watch these lessons grow alongside our new furry friend! 🐹
