A concentration/memory activity you can do at home...Place 10-15 items on a tray. Time child for one minute while they look at the items. Take the tray away. Have them write all items they remember. Healthy for the brain!

Second graders received their third Scholastic book of the month bought by generous donations to our classroom! This month's pick was "Snowmen At Night" by Caralyn Buehner.
Round the table game for identifying subject and predicate worked very well! Students slid around the table identifying each part of the sentence with markers.
