We did it again! Congratulations to Au Gres- Sims High School for achieving Michigan Green Schools Emerald Status for the 2025-2026 school year. We were selected for demonstrating outstanding leadership in environmental education and for taking meaningful stewardship actions that protect Michigan's air, land, water, and ecosystems.

Many thanks to Au Gres Edmonds' Inn & The Snap Society for their generosity! Special shout out to our volunteers, bartenders, decorators, chaperones, and clean up helpers! The event was made extra special with the donations of food and prizes and everyone's willingness to make it a great night of memories for these kids! Thank you all for your help!

Congratulations to the middle school Science Olympiad team, as they competed in the 2026 State Science Olympiad tournament this past weekend on the campus of Michigan State University. Four Olympians scored in the top 20 in their individual events. The team of Blaise Freeman and Nolan Dewyer finished 14th in the State in Hovercraft, and the team of Max Fox and Marek Ming finished 5th in the State in Botany! Great job Science Olympiad team!

A great assembly for our students today! Huge thanks to Attaboy for bringing energy, music, and fun through a meaningful performance. Don’t miss their community concert tonight at 7:00 PM!

Spanish 1 students chose a Spanish-speaking country, researched and designed a food truck and menu using what they learned. They knocked it out of the ball park!! We celebrated with food that represented their country. 😋

Shout-out to our amazing Maintenance Department! 🌟 These daily heroes are always on the move—fixing what’s broken, keeping our schools healthy with constant cleaning and sanitizing, and making our grounds look beautiful. They’re the first to arrive and often the last to leave, setting up for events, moving furniture, responding quickly to unexpected issues, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. They oversee everything from the biggest maintenance projects to the smallest details. During our winter months they are tackling snow removal, keeping our sidewalks and parking lots clear of ice, and helping ensure students and staff stay safe each day. Their pride in their work shows in every hallway, classroom, and outdoor space, and their dedication does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for all they do to help our students, staff, and school district! 👏

Last night we welcomed our newest members to the AGS Wolverine family; our 2026/2027 Kindergartners and their families!🎉 It was an exciting evening for these aspiring Wolverines as they met their kindergarten teachers and toured the school. While visiting kindergarten classrooms, students explored hands-on fun resources, enjoyed making a craft, and parents heard an informative “All About Kindergarten” presentation. One of their final stops was stepping into our official AGS signing room, where they received and put-on some AGS swag, hopped up into the official signing chair, picked up the big inflatable pencil, and excitedly signed their official “Welcome to Kindergarten!” ✏️ On their last stop before leaving for the evening, they each received a backpack filled with school supplies to help provide them with tools and resources for learning successes.🎒 Thank you to all the families that came and thank you to all who helped make this evening a special success!🌟 We are excited to welcome our newest kindergartners and look forward to their success as they begin their learning journey with us!🎉👏 #WolverinesLead #PoweredByPurpose
