It's March is reading month, and you never know who might pop in to read! Mrs. Avram's kindergartens were very happy to have Mr. Ming come read a beautiful legend about Mackinac Island today!
The 1st graders finished their nonfiction books this week! Here is a sample of some of their pages. The books included a cover page, table of contents, chapters, a diagram, and a caption page!

Teachers did a teacher swap and read for March Is Reading Month today! Sometimes it's fun to read to other classrooms full of kids!
Lots of shenanigans for Mrs. Avram's kindergarten leprechauns today! A scavenger hunt in the library and graphing the "Lucky" cereal to name a few! 🍀🌈
Today was spinach salad with strawberries. I think they enjoyed the strawberries more than the spinach, but I'll take it as a win because they were so excited.
The leprechauns stopped by for lunch today.

Middle school math students got to celebrate pi day with some pi themed activities. 8th grade made frequency tables and graphs for the first 100 digits of pi, 7th grade went on a circle scavenger hunt to see who could get the closest calculation of pi, 6th grade made a collaborative poster and learned about some pi facts with a crossword.
Bree had a great week! She even visited some preschool veterinarians this week!
Mrs. Swaid gave up her chair for PAWS weekly drawing again this week! Also we created leprechaun traps! We are hoping to catch one! 🍀
