Environmental science students designed and engineered model bridges. We tested one of the bridges today with a record hanging weight of a whopping 32 pounds. That would be the equivalent of a mouse lifting up a gold bar!

Today we kicked off our March is Reading Month with an assembly. To keep the kids entertained, Mr. Blackmore dazzled with his skills on stilts and hand walking. Mrs. Avram wowed with her juggling. Maybe the circus can be their retirement gig with these skills!

Biology students explored the role of microbiologists as they sampled common areas in the school that are frequently used, and transferred the samples to nutrient agar plates, to observe growth of colonies. We are confronted by bacteria in and around us, so let's study them!

Students in 7th grade science are studying Newton's Laws of Motion and applying their newly learned knowledge through designing and engineering rubberband powered race cars.
