On Tuesday, May 19 at 7 p.m. the Au Gres-Sims School District will host a community information meeting to discuss the Capital Projects Sinking Fund Proposal that it intends to put on the November 2026 ballot. The session will take place in the AGS High School Library (Cyber Cafe) and is anticipated to be about an hour in length.

The district is pursuing this proposal to “take care of what we’ve got,” to look after the safe and beautiful learning environment we’ve built over time. This fund would allow the district to address critical roof repairs and other maintenance-related projects to building infrastructure.

At the informational meeting the district will share information about sinking funds — what they are, what they are not, how they are funded, etc. — as well as the details of the proposal to be placed before the voters in the fall.

Members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend and ask questions.
