The State publishes School Index Reports each year to the MI School Data website. These single year snapshots provide an overview summary report of the previous school year using the metrics determined by the state to evaluate school success. These differ slightly for each level, elementary, middle, and high but all include metrics like student achievement, growth, and attendance as factors.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • Very high proficiency, especially in math and ELA

  • Overall Index remains strong

MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Steady improvement in overall index and growth

  • Proficiency rising in both ELA and math

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Significant rebound in growth and proficiency

  • Math performance has improved sharply

DISTRICT TAKEAWAY

Our district is moving in the right direction. We are proud of strong early-grade achievement, improving middle school performance, and the turnaround at the high school. We will continue to focus on student growth, increased access to advanced opportunities, and strong attendance so that every student is prepared for their future.
