KoC donation_fall2025

The Au Gres-Sims School District received a tremendous donation of $1,427.19 from the local Au Gres Knights of Columbus #7717 this week. Monetary donations were collected by the Knights of Columbus during their annual Tootsie Rolls drive that took place Columbus Day Weekend, October 11th and 12th. This annual collection on East Huron Road, in the City of Au Gres, takes many volunteers who graciously give of their time for the benefit of the students of Au Gres-Sims. Funds are collected for the benefit of the mentally impaired and are applied at the district to support the individual needs of special learners.

Presenting the donation to the district were John Clyne, Greg Walker, Dennis Stanley, chair of the donation drive. At the check presentation, Au Gres-Sims Superintendent, Chris Ming, expressed his gratitude to the Knights of Columbus and thanked them for their strong partnership with the Au Gres-Sims School District. Ming stated, “With your generous support we will look to enhance the educational opportunities and experiences of all our learners, especially those with greater challenges than most.”
