Free School Meal Pick-Up

*NOTE - As a reminder, there will not be “Grab-and-Go” food service during our previously scheduled spring break, which is the week of March 30 - April 3rd. However, at tomorrow’s (Friday’s) “Grab-and-Go," we will be distributing additional meals to help support during the week of spring break. For these additional meals, families will receive a loaf of bread, peanut butter and jelly cups, several days worth of cereal, fruit/juice, milk, and cheese sticks. These extra meals will be given on a first come, first served basis in our parking lot pick-up line. If you have already signed-up below for meals, you do not need to do it again. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Dear Families,

In light of the recent school closures due to COVID-19, we have received important information from the Michigan Department of Education that allows us to continue to provide breakfast and lunch to the children in our community. The administration team, in partnership with our food service department and support staff, are planning to have breakfast and lunch provided to all children in our community 18 and under, over the next 2 weeks. All families with children 18 and under, and students 26 and under who receive special education services, are eligible for this service.

Our plan to provide this service to our families is as follows:

  • In order to ensure that we have enough food on hand, please fill out the Google Form below if you intend on taking advantage of this service. Please indicate the number of children 18 and under in your home.
  • Starting on Wednesday, March 18th, we will begin a "grab-and-go" food service. This "grab-and-go" sack lunch will include a breakfast and lunch. The "grab-and-go" schedule will be as follows:

Wednesday, March 18th - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (2 days worth of food provided)

Friday, March 20th - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (3 days worth of food provided)

Monday, March 23rd - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (2 days worth of food provided)

Wednesday, March 25th - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (2 days worth of food provided)

Friday, March 27th - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (3 days worth of food provided)

  • Food pick-up will be a drive-through set up in the parking lot off of Court St. Employees will be on-hand to guide traffic through the pick-up line and ask how many children you are picking up meals for. These "grab-and-go" bags will then be brought to your vehicle.

We are highly encouraging community members to connect with neighbors and friends to support one another during this time. If you know of a community member that cannot pick up food for their children at this time - you are more than welcome to come pick up the meals on their behalf - no questions asked. Children do NOT need to be present at the time of pick-up. Our goal is to make sure that all children in our community have the resources that they need.

Please fill out this form as soon as possible: https://www.smore.com/dzjam
