Au Gres-Sims Receives Eleven Grant Awards from Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe

AU GRES, MI – Au Gres-Sims School District received grants totaling $74,051.00 from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe at last Friday’s Fall 2% distribution ceremony and celebration at the Saganing Eagle’s Landing Outreach Center in Standish, Michigan. 

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe awarded a total of eleven different instructional resources grant requests that were authored by the school district.  The awarded grants primarily focus upon enhancing instructional and academic quality for students and staff at Au Gres-Sims in the following areas; literacy initiatives, instructional technology, digital learning software, robotics, STEM education, and dual enrollment.

At Friday’s ceremony, Au Gres-Sims Superintendent, Jeffrey Collier, stated, “I am grateful for our strong partnership with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and, on behalf of the entire Au Gres-Sims School District, blessed to receive these amazing instructional resources grants.”
